Laux GmbH takes over Elephant Gin GmbH

Centuros exclusively advised on the buy-side M&A transaction of Laux GmbH for the acquisition of Elephant Gin GmbH.

Since its foundation in 2013, Elephant Gin GmbH has specialized in the production and distribution of premium gin and has also made a name for itself through its strong commitment to nature conservation. 15% of the profits flow into African elephant conservation projects. So far, over 1 million euros have been raised for nature conservation.

The Charlottenburg Local Court opened provisional insolvency proceedings on June 1, 2024. The experienced restructuring expert lawyer Dr. Gordon Geiser from GT Restructuring was appointed as the insolvency administrator. Under his management, business operations were successfully maintained and continued in full until the transferred restructuring.

With Laux GmbH, Elephant Gin GmbH has gained a new strategic investor that has already enjoyed great success in the delicatessen food segment. This partnership promises strong synergy effects and continued positive business development.

Even after the takeover by the investor, the management and the majority of the team will remain with the company. Elephant Gin GmbH will continue to operate as an independent company and continue its proven brand and sales strategies.
